My name is Gambler and Hilary is totally in love with me, but she is not supposed to have favourites!!
I was born at the end of last year and I am an extremely cute lurcher. I am a very happy dog who is only just starting out in life and learning about the big wide world.
The nice dog warden brought me to Bristol DAWG, as I was found out wandering by myself. She did manage to contact my owners, but they didn’t want me back - so upsetting how could they do this to me. I spent my seven days at the pound in case they changed their mind, but sadly they didn’t come for me. I feel so sad as I really don’t know what I did wrong.
I am a very handsome puppy with a lovely dark brindle and white rough coat. Just look at my picture and it will melt your heart. (Gerry has said there will be a better picture to follow).
I am a typical, fun loving, happy-go-lucky, sweet pup and I just want to be someone’s much loved pet.
The trustees are hoping to find me a new home quickly so I can learn about housetraining, socialising with other dogs, walking on a lead etc. Sounds fun to me and I am eager to learn as they tell me I am a bright boy – whatever that means!!
A new start sounds good, I am very trainable and I am keen to find a new family as soon as possible, as moving to a kennel environment after knowing home life is very hard.
I would like a home with children eight years and above.
The trustees would also consider a foster home if anyone could squeeze an extra one in. I have not been cat tested yet.
The first person/family to meet me will fall in love – please pick up the phone as no dog having known home life deserves to be in rescue.
Take a Gamble on me.
