My name is Lucy and I really am a “Brindle Beauty” – whatever that means I have no idea, but it sounds good to me and the ladies get very excited when they tell me!!!
I am a little Irish girl who was saved by Eila when she visited the local pound in Limerick. There are so many of us in the pounds in Ireland as no-one wants us as pets, but the trustees tell me that’s all in the past and that they are going to find me a wonderful forever home of my own.
Greyhounds are unfortunately never bred to be anyone’s pet, but we make absolutely fantastic companions, just give me the chance and I will show you.
I am so grateful to Eila for visiting the pound that day – really don’t like to think what could have happened to me, it must be so hard for her to decide which ones of us to take, as some have to stay behind!!! – I am one very lucky girl.
I was born in June 2014, deemed to be a failed racer, who has been time-trialled but just not fast enough. So you can guess what was going to happen to me!!
I have the most adorable sweet loving nature and adore people. I walk well on my lead.
I am spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with my flea and worm treatment.
Although I have never encountered children, the trustees think that as I am a gentle girl, I could live with children over eight years old, but they would have to be respectful of me.
At the moment I know nothing about home life and all the nice things that come with it, but I have been promised that they will find me a lovely home with a family who will show me what I’ve been missing.
If you are looking for a beautiful girl who is so excited to learn about life beyond a kennel, please call one of the trustees if you would like to come and meet me – they are waiting for your phone call.
