My name is Star and I am one very handsome young man.
I am a confident, extremely friendly lad, who is learning about the big wide world for the first time - boy am I learning fast and I think it’s greyt!!!
I was bred in Ireland and rescued from the pound by Eila who rescues so many of us when our time is up!!!!
I was born in May 2014, I am a failed racer - my legs just wouldn’t run fast enough to make my owner money, therefore I was “no longer needed”.
I am currently sharing my kennel with Bronagh, she is rather nice, so I would quite happily live with another dog.
I am fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and up to date with my flea and worm treatment – so good to go when you are.
Greyhounds are unfortunately never bred to be anyone’s pet, but we make absolutely fantastic companions, just give me the chance and I will show you.
At the moment I know nothing about home life and all the nice things that come with it, but the trustees have promised that they will find me a lovely home with a family who will show me what I’ve been missing.
I am quite a playful boy, I walk well on my lead, and I am enjoying my regular walks with John who takes me out every day. Although I have not really encountered children, the trustees think that, as I am a gentle boy, I could live with children over eight years old, but they would have to be respectful of me.
If you are looking for a very loving boy who is so excited to learn about life beyond a kennel, please call one of the trustees if you would like to come and meet me – they are waiting for your phone call.
Sadly I cannot live with cats.
