Just to let you know that Newt has settled in really well and is such a sweetie - I love him to bits! He's still nervous around new people but is getting more confident with socialising but mostly he just sticks close to me with his 'greyhound lean'. He greets me when I come in and we're working on his re-call. He's made himself at home and loves his bed and has recently discovered the sofa...He's met lots of furry friends but pays absolutely no attention to any of them including dogs, cats, sheep, horses or squirrels! He loves being in the car and settles down on his quilt for the journey to work.
He's happy to be left in the house and is house-trained now; as soon as hears my alarm in the morning he comes upstairs and puts his nose around my door. We have our routine and he knows exactly what's going to happen. He really is the most fantastic dog: gentle, loyal, loving and amenable. He's made such a positive impact on my life already and I cannot imagine my life without him now.
