In conjunction with Stacey Nevill Photography we have decided to create a Bristol DAWG Calendar.

Last year was the first year in many that we did not have one and I for one missed it!

SO! If you had your dogs photo taken at Stoke Gifford Dog Show by Stacey then there is a good chance your pooch could be featuring in the 2019 calendar!

Limited run of 100 calendars are priced at £7 each - preorder yours today!

100% of ALL profit from the sale of the calendar will go to Bristol DAWG!

Massive, massive, massive "thank you" to Julie Sims and Adrian Sims for their kind hospitality yesterday in organising a Cream Tea Afternoon at their home.

Absolutely amazing afternoon, which raised £1,500 for DAWGUST.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made this an enjoyable afternoon.

Thanks also to the ladies who worked so hard looking after everyone.

Many of you will remember the fundraising drive which took place earlier this year. We have today received a cheque from Support Pet Adoption for £379.00 from the Bradley Stoke Pets At Home Store and £916 from Emerson's Green. Thank you to everyone at Support Pet Adoption and a special thanks to all the lovely staff at both stores for working so hard selling scratch cards.

Greyt news Jim has found his forever sofa in Bishopsworth with Louise, Nick and his new girlfriend Alice. Jim has been living with his new family for two weeks just to make sure the dogs got along, and it couldn't have been a better match. Alice is ten years old, so we had to get the right dog, and it seems to have worked.

We must say a massive "thank you" to Denise Smart for yet another brilliant foster - probably one of your shortest!!

Another lovely boy saved by our good friend Eila Moloney.

This is what Louise and Nick had to say about Jim:

"Thank you so so much for bringing Jimmy into ours and Alice’s lives, he is such a lovely, sweet natured boy who we love very much. It feels like he’s been with us for ages and our family is now complete.

Lou, Nick and Alice x"

DAWGust 2018 word search

For the past couple of years we've gone it alone and carried out personal challenges to raise money for DAWGust 2018.

Well this year we thought everyone should be involved in a challenge. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to complete our DAWGust word search!

Everyone, young and old, loves a word search and ours includes loads of words relevant to the charity, sighthounds and a few words relevant to our own hounds past and present.

So, if you want to keep your kids, grandparents, parents or partner quietly occupied for a couple of hours during the summer holiday season, this word search is for you!

What's in it for me, we hear you ask. Well, every correct entry will be entered into a draw to win a £25 Pets at Home voucher, with all entry fees being donated to the DAWGust 2018 appeal.

If you'd like to enter email [email protected] with your name and we will send you a unique code. Then, make your donation on the DAWGust 2018 Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/dawgust2018

, quoting the code we give you and we will email you a copy of the word search. Once you've found all the words, email a copy to [email protected] and if you've correctly identified them all, you'll be entered into the draw at the end of August.

If you'd like to enter more than once (perhaps you have more than one person to keep quiet) each entry costs just £2.

Please join in the fun. The more entries received the more we can raise to help Eila Moloney save more greys like Gracie and Joe.

Happy searching. 😀
