August

1 August 2021

We are now in a position to offer boarding to dogs that have been previous residents of Bristol DAWG. Spaces will be limited, as we only want to keep this on a small scale, but we are constantly asked for recommendations when people are looking to go on holiday or that odd weekend away.
To leave your dog with us we would need to see proof that your dog is fully vaccinated and has had the kennel cough vaccine – sadly we are not able to accept any dogs without up to date vaccinations.

Well, what can I say? Our first Open Day at Knoll View was absolutely fab, thank you all so much for your support and help.  At the appointed hour of 11 am it was pouring with rain but car after car was arriving anyway! We all caught up with lots of old friends and met some new ones too. The rain did stop eventually, everybody ate their own bodyweight in homemade cake and some of the dogs had a run in the paddock. If there's a better way to spend a summer Sunday I don't know what it is and it raised in excess of £1600 for DAWG funds!

Smashing adoption news this morning. Pretty Bluebell has gone to her forever home. Now called Flori, she is on her way to Bradley Stoke with mum Carly and she has two teenage brothers waiting for her. Here she is with Carly and Dawn, who adopted Kobi a year ago. Keeping it in the family!
Be happy special girl, I’m sure we’ll see lots of you on Facebook.

Thank you to Catherine Neck and Lynette Butler for organising a great walk today and thanks to all the lovely people and their dogs who turned up to support this event, which raised just in excess of £1,000. This will go a long way to help towards Morgan's operation.
After the walk some of us went back to The Lamb in Iron Acton, so many dogs in the dog garden and even locals were donating in our bucket!!
