Hi everyone my name is Buddy and I am a very handsome four year old greyhound.
I came from Ireland on a big boat with my brother Percy, who has now been happily re-homed. Not long after I arrived I went to live with a family who had two children, but sadly I didn’t feel comfortable around them and did become a little grumpy. Because of this it was decided that I would be returned to Bristol DAWG.
However, I then landed on all four paws and went into foster with Denise and Greg and their lovely greyhound Winnie, who is definitely in charge!! Whilst I have been with them I have had a couple of corns removed, apparently it is quite common for greyhounds to get corns, but Denise has taken really good care of me, even moisturizing my paws – you can’t beat a pet pamper!!
I am now looking for my forever sofa, a home without children and people who are quiet, kind and gentle, as sometimes I still have insecurities and get a little worried about life.
Should I develop any corns again, the charity are happy to continue any treatment needed as long as any new owner is happy to travel to Bristol for continuity of vet.
If you are looking for a lovely boy who just wants to put his paws up after his racing career, I could be just the dog for you, why don't you get in touch with the humans?
Love and licks
As we have limited history on most of our dogs, we usually only rehome with children eight years and over.
Dogs are only ever released to homes which have direct access to securely fenced gardens.
PLEASE NOTE: To comply with current law, dogs can only be released to new owners on production of a tag engraved with name and address as per the hand outs issued by Bristol DAWG
