Well I think we can safely say that our sweet little Millie has landed on all four paws!! Lynette Butler very kindly offered to "foster" Millie, along with her other two dogs Flash and Archie - well you can guess the next line "Lynette has joined the failed fosterers club". Thank you for fostering and thank you for failing!!

Thanks also to Eila Moloney, who not only saved Millie, but also saved Lynette's boy Flash.

Wonderful news our sweet boy Dessie has gone to his forever home in Milbury Heath with Catherine and Dave. Thank you both so much for giving Dessie a lovely new home and we hope you will have many happy years with this young lad.

Thanks to Eila Moloney for saving Dessie and giving him another chance in life.

Massive thanks to Jan Lasenby for very kindly attending a craft fair in Winterbourne last weekend and raising £25 for Bristol DAWG. Our four legged friends are very grateful.

Best news ever today - Roxy has found her forever home.

Roxy has been with Bristol DAWG since September 2015!! such a shame as she is a lovely girl.

Roxy has gone to live with Margaret and Dave in Warmley. Very recently Margaret and Dave lost their much loved Bella (also a Bristol DAWG dog) who they adopted in January 2012 and, although it was never their intention to have another dog, the house just felt so empty. They met Roxy, fell in love, even cancelled their holiday so they could take her straight away!! Roxy has been on a two week home trial and it was wonderful for Gerry to visit today to complete the paperwork and see her looking so happy and content.

We must have a massive 'thank you' to Deborah Martin and her family for fostering Roxy and we know that Debbie has invested a lot of time in Roxy in readiness for a new home - thanks Deb another greyt foster, is it foster dog nineteen? We have lost track you have fostered so many!

Caroline McNally and ten of her friends are doing a fourteen mile walk from Bathampton to Bradford on Avon and back on 17 March 2018.
All money raised is going to DAWG.
Caroline recently adopted Lily who has brought so much joy to her life, she really wanted to give something back to DAWG.
If anyone feels that they would like to sponsor, it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh happy days!!!

Lovely sweet little Goldie has found her forever sofa with Emma in Plymouth.

Goldie has been fostered by Amanda Jane and Mike in Princetown (our West Devon branch as we like to call it!!) and they have done an amazing job with her. Thank you both so much for teaching Goldie all about home life - you are brilliant fosterers and find such lovely homes.

Hope you enjoy your new best friend Emma, she is one very special little girl who you will have years of pleasure with.

Some very sad news, which we have been asked by her family to share with our supporters, as some of you who live in the Downend area will know a lovely lady called Wendy Hill, who was very often seen out and about walking her two beautiful greyhound girls, Pansy and Dawn.

Wendy sadly passed away recently having suffered a heart attack at the very young age of sixty.  Rob, her husband, and Rhiannon her daughter, are obviously devastated and no-one can imagine how they must feel.

Wendy and Rob adopted Pansy from Bristol DAWG in 2009 and then adopted Dawn in 2012, the girls were so lucky to have such a lovely family to care for them.  Wendy was a great supporter of the Charity, she sponsored a kennel and saved all her loose change to help the dogs in our care.

Wendy was a lovely, kind, caring lady who will be greatly missed by many people and our thoughts are with her family, friends and Pansy and Dawn who still look for her.

Wendy’s family and friends have been extremely generous in the donations they have made to Bristol DAWG in memory of this wonderful lady.

Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
