Harry, our gorgeous black boy, came to us at the beginning of December and went straight into foster with Karen, Deve and their family. It’s very clear that this poor boy hasn’t had the nicest of lives up to now. He is very nervous and needed Karen's greyhounds to help him with his confidence.
Over the last month Harry's settled in very nicely and started to gain the trust of his foster family.
Harry needed to be examined by the vets so we waited until the time was right and made his appointment. Following an examination and subsequent blood test, sadly our fears were confirmed and Harry has retained testicles.
He now requires quite an invasive operation to have these removed, as, if left. they could become cancerous. The operation is going to be quite costly - around £400.00. The blood test we had to have done was £180.00 so Karen wanted to try and help raise some money towards getting this beautiful soul in good health.
So she's running a raffle for a beautiful gift basket containing a wax warmer, tea lights, the Valentines Collection Sample Box, which contains eight different scents and a Love is in the Air bath bomb. The wax melts are made using soy wax, cruelty free and vegan friendly products as is the bath bomb.
Tickets are £2.00 for four and the winner will be picked at random on Friday 12th February which also happens to be the date of Harry's operation.

Jane has made this beautiful throw to raise funds for the dogs in our care. We want to rescue as many pointy noses as we can so every penny will help. It took Jane months of sweat and swear words but as you can see, she has achieved a unique and lovely throw that will look great on any double bed or as a large wall hanging. Usually we would auction this at the ball but for obvious reasons it didn’t take place last year. Tickets are £5 each and you can buy as many as you like. Closing date is 31st March and the winner will be drawn at 7pm on that day. Thank you, DAWG supporters are just brilliant.
