Yippee! The first adoption of the month! Daisy has gone to her forever home in Downend.

Thank you Stephanie for giving this very sweet girl another chance in life. We all hope you have many happy years together and send our thanks to our very good friend Eila Moloney for saving Daisy.

More fabulous adoption news, Matilda has found her forever home in Portishead with Julie, Jon and Eden. She also lives with Moo the cat and Geoffrey the ferret! Thank you for giving this special girl a lovely home and a huge thank you to Sharon Foulger and Nick Foulger for fostering her.
Here she is with her new best friend, Eden. Isn’t it a brilliant picture?

What a great way to start the weekend - Fairy has gone off to her forever home! Now called Tinks, she’s gone to live with Kerry and Joe in Weston-super-Mare. Have a long and happy life lovely girl.

Three lurchers have joined us over the last couple of weeks, all very sweet, none ready for re-homing yet, varying backgrounds none of which have been good. However, life is about to get a whole lot better for all three of them.

Keep watching for updates.

From the left, meet Jasper, Trigger and Wilma.

More good news today, our lovely Minty (now renamed Misty) has found her forever home in Westbury, Wilts with Martin, Hazel and Beanie (formerly Jeanie) the greyhound (who they adopted from Bristol DAWG a couple of years ago).

Thank you for giving this sweet girl another chance in life, and thank you also to our very good friend Eila Moloney for saving her.

Thank you to Michelle Jacklin from Boomerjack who has very kindly donated a martingale collar to foster dog Ozzy. Most collars seem to be irritating him, this is a lovely collar which is fully lined and very soft - thank you Michelle. There is a link to Boomerjack on our links page.

Tony Hancy is training to run a Marathon… at night… on his birthday… in the Arctic Circle! He runs at night. It’s usually cold, often wet, and always dark. He's always exhausted. In fact, the conditions are just like those experienced by many racing greyhounds. The only difference is he's forcing himself to do this! Racing dogs don’t get a choice.

Before he runs, his first challenge is to raise just one penny for each meter of the Marathon: £421.95. But he's ambitious so we'll see just how far we can go...

On 22 June he will be running the Tromso Midnight Sun Marathon. He's running a Marathon in the Arctic Circle for Bristol DAWG because if he forces himself to run, more dogs won't have to!

If you would like to donate you can do so via
Money will go straight to DAWG. Please gift aid if you can.

You are already DAWG people - so more importantly, please like and share this post image far and wide. In dog groups, in running groups, (to the rich and famous?!), wherever you can so that we can make a massive difference together.

The very handsome big black boy Daire has found his forever sofa. He has gone to live with Jeff and Penny in Banwell. Now called Doogie, he has settled in well and is happy in his new home. Here he is with his new mum and dad.
Many thanks to foster mum Penny Owen who has done another great job of getting a kennel dog ready for his forever home.
