October 2019

1 October 2019

Meet our four new beauties which will be arriving around about the 16th October. Sam, Teddy, Gracie and Lucy.

To everyone who donated so generously during the Dawgust Appeal these four are extremely grateful, as it has enabled them to cross the Irish Sea in search of new beginnings.

Thank you Eila Moloney for all you do for these wonderful dogs.

Well we had a very successful September with a number of our babies finding homes. October has started really well too - beautiful Nancy has found her forever sofa with Lauren and Louise. This pretty girl had thirty-nine races, winning ten of them, so really deserves to put her paws up and be loved and adored. Thank you for adopting this special girl and for your generous donation. Have a long and happy life Nancy.

All at Bristol DAWG wish Kevin and his new Mummy all the best in their new life together - may it be a long and happy one.

6 October 2019

Gerry spent a lovely hour this afternoon with Rachel and Steve who have just adopted the beautiful Ella.

She has been on a two week home trial as she has gone to live with a previously adopted Bristol DAWG, Jody, who is a very handsome big white boy. He and Ella are getting on really well and are starting to play.

Thank you Rachel and Steve for giving Ella a wonderful new home, and, of course, thanks to Eila Moloney for sending her to us.

The trustees were invited today, along with their dogs, to a Vet Acupuncture Course. It was a brilliant afternoon which was very interesting and informative. I have to say Sam, Jack, Trevor, Robert, Parker, Bella, Poppy and Kookie were absolutely brilliant whilst letting the vets practice locating pressure points on them.

At the end of the afternoon Bella and Sam had some acupuncture treatment with Dr Dietrich Graf von Schweinitz, you can see Sam above receiving treatment. Although you cannot clearly see, he has approximately six needles on his back and neck.

Very happy to report that all five new dogs (Gracie, Lincoln, Lucy, Sam and Teddy) arrived safely from Ireland in the early hours of this morning. They are all drop dead gorgeous and will soon be looking for their forever sofas! Thanks, as ever, to Kristie and James for getting up at silly o'clock to take delivery.

Keep watching the website for more details.

Thank you to everyone who attended the ball  - it was a greyt evening!!

Not the final figure and we probably won't know this for a couple of weeks as a few items are still to be paid for, plus 15% from the bar takings, but monies in to date are £7,201 - a record amount already!!!!

Our thanks go to Megan and Kim Simpkins-Jenkins for another brilliant fundraiser.

30 October 2019

Good luck to Izzy, who was sadly returned to Bristol DAWG following the death of her owner. She has just started a new life with her new Dad and we all hope you will both enjoy many happy years together.
