Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue

Hello, my name is Rocky and, as you can see I am a very handsome boy indeed, if you don't mind me saying so. I am predominately white with a tasteful blue trim and I was born on 16 September 2016, although I'm really quite sensible for such a young dog. I was rescued in Ireland with my sister Skye when we couldn't run fast enough to win races. A lady called Eila Moloney sent us across the Irish Sea on a thing called a ferry 'cos there's more chance of us finding furever homes over here - in Ireland it's very, very unusual for greyhounds to ever be treated as pets. This makes me very sad because, given the chance, we make absolutely superb pets.

When I first arrived in England, I went to stay in a kennels, which was greyt, much better than anything I'd ever had before, but now I've moved into a foster home and that's even better. I'm house trained now and I can be left for a few hours on my own. I've met a cat and ignored it and, although I do tend to push my luck a bit with new dogs, I soon back down if they tell me off. I've also met children and I liked them too.

Everybody's really pleased with the progress I've made so, if you think I might be the companion you've been looking for, just get in touch with one of the humans and you can make an appointment to come and meet me - I would love to meet you.

Love and manly kisses

Rocky xx

Dogs are only ever released to homes which have direct access to securely fenced gardens.

As we have limited history on most of our dogs, we usually only rehome with children eight years and over.
